Setting the Course for 2018

When I first started this blog two years ago, it was to write about living a zero waste lifestyle. At times I felt like I wasn’t practicing what I was preaching and there were so many other people out there who were doing it much better than I was. My life has come full circle in the last 2-3 years. I quit my job, moved from LA to NYC, got married, moved from NYC to LA (still married!), and went back to working at my old job. I don’t regret going through the motions in order to find my way to where I am now. I learned a lot about myself in the process: my strengths, my weaknesses, my passions, and my failures.

For the longest time I’ve thought of this blog as a failure. I tend to start things and then lose steam halfway through. Maybe I’m too hard on myself… turns out that I still like the phrase “Worldly Citizens”, still want to do something with sustainability (but realized I need to narrow it down), still long to write, and still love to design websites. I imagine this blog to be an outlet to set my goals, bounce off ideas, share knowledge, and hopefully inspire myself and others. Be prepared for musings on protecting our natural habitats, idiosyncrasies of people encountered when it comes to protecting our natural habitats, and regurgitation of technical info as I try to self-educate.

The photo is of me taken by my friend, Jamie. We went hiking in the Angeles National Forest a couple months back.
